With the 2024 NFL draft coming up at the end of April we went over the top picks for each division in the AFC. The AFC West, AFC East, AFC North, now we dive in and take a look at the AFC South. These AFC South teams have made some very good moves during free agency, now the question is: what can these teams do to improve their teams even more in this 2024 draft filled with young talent?
NFL Draft 2024 Gives Tennessee Titans A Chance To Continue To Keep Building Post King Henry
With the loss of Derrick Henry this past offseason the Titans have been rebuilding, and doing quite well adding players like Tony Pollard, Calvin Ridley, L’Jarius Sneed, and other good players in 2024 free agency. The Titans currently hold the seventh overall pick, and after a productive free agency the question is what do the Titans do to keep rebuilding and improving in the 2024 NFL draft? How can these Titans Maximize their roster so they can turn it around, and stop ending seasons with a losing record?
I think if you look to draft analysts like James Meche, and Mel Kiper Jr from ESPN or Charles Davis, and Daniel Jeremiah from NFL Network it doesn’t matter which analyst you look to almost all of them have an offensive lineman going round one for the Titans in this draft. I think that’s the best possible move for the Titans right now, like I’ve mentioned before in draft class that’s stacked with talent at the offensive line it’s essential to grab the best possible player with that seventh overall pick to strengthen that offensive line and get the Titans franchise turned around and on to winning seasons in the future.
How Can Jags Capitalize And Come Out With Best Possible Team After 2024 NFL Draft
Analysts everywhere are all over the place with Jacksonville’s first-round pick in the 2024 Draft. Projecting the Jaguars to take wide receivers, offensive linemen, defensive linemen, and even corner and defensive backs. The question then becomes which position should the Jags go for in the first round of the draft to maximize this team’s potential and make this Jaguars team a legitimate contender in not only the AFC but the whole NFL in general. The Jaguars have plenty of weapons available on the offensive side of the ball, but the defense needs a little tweaking. I know the Jaguars signed veteran corner Ronald Darby after the release of corner Darious Williams, but I think the Jags need more firepower at this position. I think the Jags go for a cornerback in the first round someone like Terrion Arnold from Alabama, or Nate Wiggins from Clemson this provides them with speed and press coverage chops they give to opposing wide receivers that fit perfectly in the AFC South.
How Does This Team Have Another Good Draft Year To Continue Getting Better
This Houston Texans team has made good move, after good move, after good move. Houston currently holds the 23rd overall pick and has selections in the first three rounds, a couple of fourth-round picks, and three seventh-round picks. Now how can they continue to make good moves with the 2024 NFL draft right around the corner?
Analysts across the nation are all over the place on this Texans’ first pick, some wanting the Texans to pick a corner or defensive tackle. I think the Texans’ best option in round one is to actually either trade with someone and get another defensive star or draft one, that one start being either defensive tackle Jer’Zhan “Johnny” Newton from Illinois, or defensive edge Laiatu Latu from UCLA. I think these are the two smartest options for the Texans to go for round one to keep on improving that young, dominant Houston Texans team.
Last Year’s Draft Was Supposed To Change The Colts But That Failed, Now They Need A Little More Help In This Year’s Draft
In last year’s NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts selected Anthony Richardson with their first pick, but that didn’t work out very well as Richardson ended up suffering a season-ending shoulder injury early on into the 2023 season. Richardson has only played in four NFL games before the injury but is set to start for the 2024-25 season, so the question is: what can the Colts do in this upcoming draft in 2024 to pick up some more offensive or defensive firepower to help the young quarterback, as he tries to get settled into the NFL, and restart this season.
The Colts currently hold the 15th overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, and the best thing that the Indianapolis Colts can do in the draft this year is to draft a wide receiver or a tight end. Specifically, the Colts need to target players mentioned before such as players like Adonai Mitchell from Texas or Brian Thomas Jr out of LSU with their speed to pair perfectly with Michael Pittman Jr, but that’s at the wide receiver position if they choose to go that route.
What the Colts really need to do for round one is go after a tight end like Brock Bowers from Georgia to give Richardson a super strong offensive weapon. Considering Brock Bowers has been Georgia’s lead receiver for three straight seasons, he may be one of the best tight end prospects of all time, and to add that young talent to this already young and talented Colts team could be a recipe for success for years to come for the Colts, as long as everyone stays healthy.
