New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is one of the most polarizing figures in all of professional sports. In addition to being one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history, he is also one of the most outspoken and opinionated active players today. Indeed, Rodgers is not afraid to share what he thinks about any topic, whether it be politics, medicine, football, or aliens.
Rodgers is also not one to hide what he thinks about specific people, whether they be other players, coaches, reporters, politicians, comedians, or actors. His blunt personality is not endearing to everyone, though his incredible play on the field over the years has made him many fans.

It seems as if everything that Rodgers says or does is reported on at length by various media outlets, podcasts, sports talk shows, and the like. Oftentimes, the picture that is painted for the future Pro Football Hall of Famer is not a flattering one.
Dan Leberfeild, an NFL insider who cover the team for Jets Confidential, revealed why this is the case in a recent article:
“Rodgers is an easy target for most sports talking heads and insiders because he doesn’t play ball with any of them. They have nothing to lose trashing Rodgers. They aren’t losing scoops or access because he’s not giving them any”.
As everyone knows, the only national sports personality that Rodgers gives regular interviews to is Pat McAfee. While he meets with team reporters after practices and games, he does not give them anything beyond surface level answers.

Rob Demovsky is a reporter for ESPN who covers the Green Bay Packers. Of course, that means he and Rodgers have a history of interacting on a regular basis that goes back years. For some reason, though, Rodgers took a liking to calling Demovsky “Bob” for the simple reason that the reporter did not like it.
Rodgers also publicly lashed out at ESPN’s Adam Schefter over a report that the four-time MVP had given the Jets a list of players that he wanted to play with. During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers displayed a message he sent to Schefter after the report came out. It said, “Lose my number.”
NFL MVP voter Hub Arkush once said he would not vote for Rodgers because “he’s the biggest jerk in the league.” Rodgers fired back, “I think he’s an absolute bum. He doesn’t know me, and I don’t know who he is.”
And, of course, there was the whole “I’ve been immunized” comment that he made before he contracted COVID in 2021. The media felt lied to, that he was being disingenuous with his answer at the time that he gave it. Rodgers did not feel like he said anything wrong and resented reporters for the way they told the story.
