The New Orleans Saints have until March 13 to get under the cap, as they were around $40 million over the cap.
Thankfully, their leading sacker agreed to restructure his contract.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, New Orleans restructured the contract of Carl Granderson.
The team has converted his $9 million roster bonus into a signing bonus, freeing up $7.2 million in cap space.
As a result, Granderson’s cap number will be reduced from $12.45 million to $5.25 million as his roster bonus will spread evenly for the next five seasons.
Although Granderson’s roster bonus would’ve been due March 13, he will receive it now.
The team is also expected to add a void year.
New Orleans gave Granderson an extension during the regular season
New Orleans signed Carl Granderson to a 4-year, $52 million contract on September 23.
Granderson started in every game and recorded 78 tackles, 14 for a loss, 20 QB hits, 8.5 sacks, one pass deflection, and one forced fumble.
Expect more roster moves in the coming weeks
As mentioned, New Orleans has until March 13 to get under the cap. Now, they are approximately $32 million over the cap and expect the team to make more roster moves by restructuring or releasing players,
Notable players who are expected to restructure their contracts or get released include Ryan Ramczyk, Cameron Jordan, Alvin Kamara, Demario Davis, Taysom Hill, Tyrann Mathieu, Marcus Maye, and Juwan Johnson, to name a few.
