The New Orleans Saints have a crucial game in Week 15 against the New York Giants. Now, winning this crucial game just got a lot more difficult. That is because a key offensive weapon was declared inactive this morning.
New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave Is Inactive
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave was declared inactive for the Saints’ Week 15 matchup against the New York Giants. Now, the Saints will have to try to find a way to win this game without him. Just how big has Olave been for New Orleans this season?
Olave has 918 receiving yards and four touchdown receptions in 13 games this season. It is his second year in the NFL and Olave looks like he will eclipse his rookie season numbers. Last year, Olave had 1,042 receiving yards and four touchdown receptions.
New York Giants Have Better Luck
The New York Giants also had the status of a key offensive weapon looming earlier this week. However, they received better news. Their tight end, Darren Waller, returned to practice for the first time since his hamstring injury in Week 8. Now, Waller will be active for the Giants on Sunday against the Saints.
Will these two injury reports determine the momentum in today’s game? We will have to wait and see.
