The Navy Midshipmen are 5-0 to start the college football season. They were on a bye this week. Even with the bye week, they were able to sneak into the AP Top 25 poll at number 25 for this week.
This week, the Midshipmen will host Charlotte. After they play Charlotte, they will host the 12th-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish the following week.
Navy Midshipmen Fans React To Being Ranked 25 In the AP Poll
Navy fans were very happy to see their team ranked in the AP Top 25 polls. Here is what the fanbase had to say about it on Twitter:
I’ve seen enough quadruple the defense budget and build 15 new nuclear carriers

I’m happy that we are ranked but it should be a little bit higher cause they are unbeaten #RollGoats#GoNavy

Even Navy is better than #USC #GoNavy #DamntheTorpedoes

It is good for the Navy Midshipmen that they were able to crack the Top 25. They replaced the USC Trojans in the polls after they lost to the #3 Penn State Nittany Lions at home in overtime, 33-30 on Saturday afternoon. The Midshipmen are a good story also in college football this season.
Potential Collision Course With the Army Black Knights In the American Athletic Conference Championship
This season, the Navy Midshipmen and the Army Black Knights are both in the American Athletic Conference. There is a chance that they both could face each other for the conference title this season with both teams being undefeated right now. Army is also 6-0 to start the season. There is a chance that the Navy Midshipmen or the Army Black Knights could make the college football playoff this season.
They will be playing each other also on December 14 in the annual Army and Navy game. If they were to play each other in back-to-back weeks this season, it would be chaos also.
