The Dallas Cowboys are done, and this is getting obvious at this point. The team should be 1-5 but have managed to get some close victories in their short season so far. On Sunday they got absolutely demolished for the second time this season, this time coming against the Detroit Lions. They do not have a great chance to be a .500 team this year, let alone make the playoffs.
It’s Time For Huge Changes For the Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys got embarrassed by an actual good team in the Lions, losing 47- 9! This is the second time they have been destroyed in their home field this year, and their schedule will just continue to get harder. It’s almost official now that this will be head coach Mike McCarthy’s last season with the team.
While McCarthy should get booted in the middle of the year and should’ve been fired before the season, owner Jerry Jones says that McCarthy is not going anywhere soon. That has fans even more upset. When asked about a mid=season coaching change, owner Jones responded with:
“I’m not considering that.”
Fans have regular reactions to this, as they are all feeling that this Cowboys team is coming to an end with their coach soon:
“He doesn’t care at all, he’s pretty much content with the 3 Super Bowls he won as owner in the 90s and now only cares about filling his pockets,” one fan wrote.
“Enjoy the rest of the season, Cowboys Nation. Officially out,” one fan added.
“How bout a roster change? Think we can add someone soon Jerry,” one fan added.
“When will y’all ask him about a GM change?” one fan added.
Mike McCarthy Has Got to Go, And That Is Just The Beginning
McCarthy had some great years with the team, but their embarrassing playoff record and their awful start to this year should be more than enough to send him packing. During the game, fans were all taking to social media to destroy Dallas and the way they performed. What fans are starting to notice, which I pointed out weeks ago, is that this Dallas team is very bad.
They are not just not a playoff team, but they are in the bottom 12 teams of the NFL as we sit here today through 6 weeks of football. In the middle of their embarrassment of a performance, fans were calling out their coach and wanted to see major changes moving forward.
“Can all Cowboys fans agree that a lot of our issues end with Mike McCarthy gone and not as our play caller?” a fan asked.
“Mike McCarthy is the dumbest, worst play calling, can’t read a clock coach in the NFL,” a fan claimed.
“Mike McCarthy offense is the most boring offense I’ve ever seen,” another fan wrote.
“I was told that Mike McCarthy has a good offensive scheme…. It’s HOT GARBAGE,” a fan declared.
“There is no legitimate reason for Mike McCarthy to be the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys after today,” a fan said.
They get a much-needed bye week coming up, but after that, they will face a non-stop schedule of good teams all of which should be losses.

It would not be surprising at all if they lose their next five games straight or maybe win one of them. When this team is 3-8 or 4-7 it will be way past time to clean house and start anew. It is sad that the number one brand in football is so bad. Hopefully, they will keep getting smacked so their 82-year-old GM can begin to think of changes to make, but the future in Dallas looks terrible.
This should be a 6-11 team in the NFL and at best a 8-9 team with a very talented roster.
