Michael Gallup shocked teammates and coaches with highlight catches in practice. Will we see the return of the Dallas wide receiver in game 4 against Washington?
Update
Finally! The long wait may be over. After Michael Gallup tore his ACL last year (in a contract year) many fans wondered if we would ever see Michael Gallup in a Cowboys jersey again. But Jerry Jones made the decision to bring Michael Gallup back on a 5 year 62.5 million dollar contract. A ringing endorsement from Jones, especially considering who else they let go this past offseason.
Since the dotted line was signed many Cowboy supporters have been waiting to see when he would return, and after rumors of returning this past Monday Night were squashed, many fans gave up hope of seeing Gallup return anytime soon.
Michael Gallup Impresses in Practice
But with recent reports out of Cowboys practice the wait may be over.
Mike McCarthy said the receiver executed some”Michael Gallup-Esque” catches in workouts.
Gallup-esque you say? Gallup went onto explain what that term means; “Big fade. Go up in the air, snag it, got the toes down.”
The only thing people actually care about. When will Gallup actually Return?
Considering the Cowboys recent success, despite missing injured QB Dak Prescott, one would assume that the Dallas front office and medical staff would want to sit him as long as possible to allow him to return to 100% before the schedule gets tougher.
“We’ve got a lot of games left to play, and I’m trying to be out there the whole time,” he explained. “I’m just biding my time so that I’m good when I get back out there, so I can help my team” Gallup said after practice.
However, by the end of practice Gallup was proclaiming “MG’s back. That exactly what I said. MG’s back.”
This new found sense of confidence is assuring considering he decided against playing Monday night due to lack of reps,
When asked if he would suit up for the Week 4 Game on Sunday against the Washington Commanders Gallup responded by saying ,“I hope so, It’s been a while. Just have another good week, see what it feels like.’”
The decision is now up to the Cowboy medical staff, but it appears as if Gallup’s recovery is headed down the right path. He is expected to play on Sunday against Washington barring a setback.
“It’s been a while. Just have another good week, see what it feels like.’”
