The Miami Hurricanes are one of the latest victims of the new spring transfer portal, which opens this week. They are about to lose one of the best players in the sport’s most critical positions.
Miami Added Cam Ward In The Winter Portal

Miami’s offseason took an unexpected turn when they secured Washington State transfer quarterback Cam Ward. Initially, Ward was set to transfer to Miami, but a sudden change of heart led him to consider the NFL Draft. However, surprisingly, he decided to withdraw from the draft and commit to playing college football for the Hurricanes.
Ward is one of the better quarterbacks in the country and will most likely be the starter. Leaving backups at the position and going for a new home is precisely what happened to one of the Hurricanes’ top players.
Jacurri Brown Is Expected To Transfer

Hayes Fawcett from On3.com states, “Miami quarterback Jacurri Brown has submitted the paperwork necessary to enter the transfer portal.”

Brown will have three years of eligibility and was a four-star recruit coming out of the 2022 class.
Spring Practices Are A Great Way To See Where Players Stand

Spring practices are an excellent way for players to see where they stand on the roster, and Brown probably noticed that he would not be the starter this season and wants to start somewhere else.
Hopefully, Brown can find a starting spot this season, and I wish him all the best at his new home.
