The Miami Hurricanes wrapped up spring ball on Saturday, with the football program partaking in their annual spring game. Team White bested Team Orange 30-14, highlighted by quarterback Jaccuri Brown tossing a touchdown pass to tight end Jackson Carver. Highly touted transfer quarterback Cam Ward played well, going 17-of-23 for 260 yards and two touchdowns in the first half.
Miami’s newly acquired signal-caller delivered an impressive performance, raising expectations for the team’s performance in the upcoming fall season. Shortly after the game’s conclusion, the Hurricanes received further good news with the commitment of an elite tight end prospect from the class of 2025. According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, four-star tight end Brock Schott will join the Miami Hurricanes.

According to 247Sports, Schott is the eighth-ranked tight end in the class of 2025. Schott plays his prep ball at Leo High School in Indiana, where he will enter his senior season next fall. The six-foot-three, 215-pounder registered 35 catches, 743 yards, and six touchdowns during his junior campaign. He also tallied 67 tackles, 32 TFLs, and 19 sacks on defense.
Schott joins three fellow four-stars in the class of 2025. Miami has also earned commitments from running back Girard Pringle Jr., tight end Luka Gilbert, and wideout Waden Charles, among others.
Miami Hurricanes: College Football Playoff Level Expectations in 2024

The Miami Hurricanes, led by transfer quarterback Cam Ward, will look to make the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history. Ward brings his talents from Washington State, where he threw for 48 touchdowns against 16 picks across two seasons. He also made plays with his legs, rushing for 13 touchdowns during that span.
Additionally, head coach Mario Cristobal will deploy the sidelines for the Hurricanes again. The former Oregon Ducks bench boss joined Miami in 2022 but has posted mediocre results. During his inaugural campaign, the ACC program went 5-7 but earned bowl eligibility in 2024. However, they lost to Rutgers in the Pinstripe Bowl, finishing with a 7-6 record.
