Jared Goff and Trevor Lawrence have gotten their respective bags. The same cannot be said, however, for Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who continues to negotiate a new deal ahead of what is surely going to be a critical campaign for the incoming fifth-year QB.
As it turns out, even Tagovailoa’s own teammates in Miami are piling the pressure on the organization to get a deal done at the soonest possible time.
Miami Dolphins News: Players Wants Tua Tagovailoa Deal Done
NFL insider Cameron Wolfe reported that based on his most recent conversation with Tagovailoa, the 26-year-old has admitted to feeling “antsy” about his current contract situation with the Dolphins. Wolfe then went on to reveal that his teammates feel the same way as well in that they are urging the team to give Tua the money he deserves:
“It’s the Dolphins number 1 priority and there’s still hope from both sides to get a deal before the start of the regular season… All of Miami’s star players have been vocal, Tua needs to be paid.”

The silver lining here is that both parties appear to be working hard to get a deal done sooner rather than later. According to Wolfe, an extension is still plausible before the new season starts. After all, with Tagovailoa potentially entering free agency next summer, the last thing the Dolphins want would be to lose their cornerstone quarterback for nothing.
Whatever the case might be, it’s surely going to be a very interesting next few months for both Miami and Tagovailoa.
