The Las Vegas Raiders offense will be different next season
The Las Vegas Raiders made drastic changes after last year’s forgettable season. Head coach Josh McDaniels and the Raiders released Derek Carr, who is now with the New Orleans Saints. They decided not to go after the Aaron Rodgers sweepstakes, as the Raiders felt they had too many positions to address. They addressed the wide receiver position Tuesday morning.
The Raiders agreed to terms with former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Garoppolo was already going to have one of the best wide receivers in the league with Davante Adams. According to a new report by Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, Garoppolo will have Jakobi Meyers.
Meyers, who has ties to head McDaniels when he was with the Patriots, has a three-year contract in place with the Raiders with $33 million. $21 million of that is guaranteed.

Garoppolo was another player with ties to McDaniels with the Patriots’ offense. However, Garoppolo and Meyers were not together in New England simultaneously. Groppolo left for the 49ers in 2017. The Patriots signed Meyers in 2019.
