Davante Adams and the Las Vegas Raiders dodged a bullet during Sunday’s 38-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The three-time All-Pro wide receiver was forced to exit the game late in the fourth quarter after being on the receiving end of a vicious hit from Bills safety Taylor Rapp. Fortunately, Adams turned out to be fine.
Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams Suffers Scary Head Injury Vs. Bills
Adams was unable to return to the field after the hit. He was tested for a concussion, which fortunately, came back negative. The six-time Pro Bowler was a full participant in Las Vegas’ practice on Wednesday, which likely means that he will be available for Sunday’s Week 3 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Adams had an opportunity to talk to the press after Wednesday’s practice and the former Green Bay Packers star did not hold back in his message for Rapp.
Davante Adams Blasts Bills Safety Taylor Rapp
Davante Adams was asked by the press if he felt that Rapp’s hit was uncalled for. The Raiders wide receiver got brutally honest in his response:
“Was it unnecessary? Completely, obviously,” Adams said, via Paul Gutierrez of ESPN. “But certain players play a certain way too. Some people, out of control, they fly around, they don’t really have much true purpose out there. I mean, playing a half field on one side, you run over and hit somebody in the head on the other side of the field.”
It did not end there. Adams took his savagery to another level by taking an unfiltered shot at Martin and his current status with the Bills:
“That’s the kind of stuff that contributes to you not being on the field,” Adams continued. “That’s why you’re in when you’re blowing us out by 25 at the end of the game. Maybe if that man learns how to play the game the right way, he’ll see the field. Until then, he’ll have to go and live off of plays like that, I guess.”
Needless to say, Adams wasn’t at all pleased by Rapp’s actions on Sunday, and the Las Vegas star wasn’t shy about letting his true feelings known.
