Rumors are going around that New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft could move on from head coach Bill Belichick if the team loses to the Indianapolis Colts this week in Germany. A report by the “Boston Globe” suggests the team could fire Belichick if they end up losing and going to a 2-8 record. According to the report, there is not a 100% chance that the head coach finishes out the season.

Bill Belichick- New England Patriots Rumors
There have been several rumors going around regarding Belichick’s job being in serious jeopardy this season amid the 2-7 start. A report by the “Boston Globe” had this to say about the team potentially moving on from their long-time head coach:
“If Belichick comes home from Germany with a 2-8 record, I think that there’s a chance the Krafts could make the move in the bye week and install Jerod Mayo as the interim coach for the final seven games.”
The report also states that this is most likely Belichick’s last season in New England unless the team has a miracle turnaround. He signed a multiyear extension with the team recently, however, it does not guarantee that he will remain with the team next season. There have been whispers that the Washington Commanders would want to trade for Belichick if he were to become available. However, Belichick at his older age would possibly just retire if the team does decide to part ways with him.

There has also been a viral video going around of the Kraft family saying “We’re not good enough” during the Patriots’ loss to the Commanders this past Sunday. It seems that the ownership is getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger on Belichick since the team is struggling like it hasn’t in a very long time.

New England is 2-7 so far this season and will face off against the Colts in Germany in week 10. This will be a do-or-die game for Belichick as his seat as the head coach continues to get hotter and hotter. If they are not able to pull out the victory, we can expect a lot of change coming New England’s way in the upcoming weeks.
