The NFL has been blessed with a legendary pair of brothers for more than a decade. These are of course Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce and Philadelphia Eagles C Jason Kelce. However, neither are getting any younger and the brothers have played in the NFL for 24 years combined. Could both decide to walk off into the sunset together?
Travis Kelce Rumors
Travis Kelce is 34 years old and is in his 11th NFL season. He has won two Super Bowl titles with the Kansas City Chiefs and is currently trying to win his third. However, he has had a drastic change in his personal life.
That is because he is now dating singer Taylor Swift. At times, the popularity of their relationship has been daunting. On top of this, it has likely introduced a whole new set of priorities.
That is what reporter Michele Tafoya claims. She revealed that Travis Kelce is likely going to retire at the end of this season. If this is the end, Kelce is a lock to make the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Jason Kelce Rumors
There has also been a lot of speculation about whether Jason Kelce would retire this offseason as well. Last week, there were rumors that Kelce told his Eagles teammates that he was retiring after their playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, Kelce quickly debunked these rumors and made it clear that there would be no doubt about any retirement claim once it was revealed.
Jason Kelce said that he felt he owed the people who got him here the proper respect with an official announcement. However, he was certainly fighting back tears at the end of the playoff loss as well as when he discussed this topic on his “New Heights” podcast with his brother, Travis Kelce.
Will the Kelce Brothers Retire Together?
So, both brothers have retirement rumors surrounding them. They also host a very popular podcast together. An obvious question needs to be asked.
Will the Kelce brothers announce their retirement together? They certainly have the platform to do it on their terms. If the Kelce brothers decide to do so together on their podcast, it would make for a historic NFL retirement announcement. We will have to wait and see what each brother decides to do.
