Kansas City Chiefs: At this point, it’s safe to say that Taylor Swift has already made her mark on the NFL. This is after the pop megastar was spotted during the Chiefs‘ Sunday night victory against the Chicago Bears at the Arrowhead Stadium.
It sounds to me like Swift may have had a hand in Kansas City’s dominant 41-10 victory against a hapless Bears side.
Taylor Swift Makes Apperance in Kansas City Chiefs’ Game
Swift was seen cheering her heart out during the game beside none other than rumored boyfriend Travis Kelce’s own mom. The 33-year-old singer took it all in, and she even went a bit wild after seeing Kelce score his lone touchdown of the evening. NFL fans were loving it.
While it doesn’t seem like either party has confirmed that they are official, it is clear that things may be getting a tad serious between the couple. After all, you don’t introduce just any girl to your own mother, right?
Whatever the case might be, Kelce looked like he was playing with a bit of extra motivation against Chicago (not that he needed it, though). The four-time All-Pro tight end had seven receptions on the evening for 69 yards. He also scored a TD in the third quarter — much to the approval of Taylor Swift.
Travis Kelce Jersey Sales Up 400%
As it turns out, it’s not just Kelce’s play on the field that has felt the full impact of the Taylor Swift fever. According to TMZ Sports, the eight-time Pro Bowler’s jersey sales have skyrocketed since Swift’s debut appearance in Arrowhead on Sunday:
“Yesterday, Travis Kelce was one of the top 5 selling NFL players and saw a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com,” Fanatics, the NFL’s official e-commerce partner, told TMZ Sports.
It would be very interesting to see the dynamics between NFL/Kansas City supporters and that of the Swifties and how their combined fandom impacted this stunning spike in Kelce’s jersey sales. So long as Taylor Swift remains by his side, we can expect more of the same in the coming months.
