Justin Jefferson’s long-awaited comeback to the field had football fans everywhere rejoicing. The Minnesota Vikings sensation has missed seven games this season because of an ankle injury that forced him to the IR. His 2023 season has now hit another snag.
Justin Jefferson is Out for the Rest of the Game Due to a Rib Injury
It’s a different ailment for Jefferson, who took a hard hit in the middle of the field on Sunday. He headed to the locker room with an injury to his ribs, and it ended his afternoon. Jefferson had two catches for 27 yards before going down.
The Minnesota Vikings were tied 0-0 with the Las Vegas Raiders when Justin Jefferson left the field. Chasing a playoff spot, this is a game that the Vikings need to win. Eyes were on Jefferson to propel the team back to the postseason, but for at least the rest of Week 14, Minnesota needs to emerge victorious without him.

In five games, Jefferson had caught 36 passes for 571 yards and three touchdowns. His 114.2 yards per game help his claim to being the best wide receiver in the game. He’s not going to reach the highs of 2022’s 1,809-yard campaign, but he’s still a best when healthy. Football is better with him on the field.
