Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco cost himself, and his team dearly during their loss to the Houston Texans in the Wild Card on Saturday.
Flacco had a great first half, but the defense didn’t do their part as rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud tore up one of the league’s best units from the regular season to take a 24-14 lead into halftime. The pressure of the deficit must have gotten to Flacco, because he tanked the Browns’ chances to come back in the second half.
Following the Texans’ punt to start the third quarter, Flacco threw back-to-back pick-sixes to the Texans’ defense on the Browns’ first two drives of the second half. Flacco’s passes weren’t anywhere near Browns wide receivers. The Browns looked defeated after going down 38-14 in the third quarter.

The Cleveland Browns don’t owe Flacco $250,000 now
According to Spotrac, Flacco would have earned $250,000 by leading the Browns to a win Saturday.
Joe Flacco will not be earning the $250,000 bonus built into his contract for winning a Wild Card playoff game.

Flacco’s two pick-sixes cost him any chance of redeeming a quarter of a million dollars.
