Joe Burrow has taken down many big opponents before in his career but none quite as big as this one. The city of Cincinnati has an award for “Best Cincinnatian” and Burrow pulled off a huge upset and took the award from a world-famous hippo.

Joe Burrow Beats Out Fiona The Hippo For Best Cincinnatian
For the past five years, Fiona has captured the hearts of the city of Cincinnati. It isn’t hard to see why. After being born prematurely in 2017, the world watch as Fiona has grown from a tiny baby to a huge water horse. However, it seemed that Burrow’s latest accomplishments on and off the field were too much to ignore. Of course, the Cincinnati Zoo tweeted out congratulations to the star quarterback and included a picture of the six-year-old hippo. It says a lot about the popularity of Burrow for him to upset such an iconic animal.
Can The Bengals Break Through This Year?
While I’m sure Joe Burrow loves being named “Best Cincinnatian”, I’m sure he would prefer the title of Super Bowl champion better. The Bengals are in a tough AFC. Patrick Mahomes and the defending champion Chiefs are still looming large. Other contenders include the Chargers, Bills, Jaguars, and Jets not to mention countless other tough teams to play. Getting through the AFC will be tough but the Bengals have proven they can step up in big games before.
They will have to do it with some new pieces this year. The defense lost some key pieces in the offseason and the team will need some young players to step up. The good news is that having a quarterback like Burrow means a team is always going to compete. 2023 is a promising year for the Bengals and they are hoping that this is the year they can finally break through.
