Jason Kelce isn’t wasting any time carving out a new career and adjusting to life off-the-field since being retired .
The moment Kelce and Johnson revealed their identities was a huge hit with wrestling fans. When they ripped off their masks the crowd went absolutely wild. With Jason’s schedule clear now that his football career is over, TMZ Sports asked around to see if the WWE organization was open to more opportunities with the All-Pro center.
Unsurprisingly … it was a resounding “Yes,” according to the TMZ website.
Of course, many folks — including WWE’s The Miz — feel like Jason Kelce would be a great fit with the promotion, considering he’s a freak athlete with a larger-than-life personality.
When asked if he would be willing to train the longtime Eagles center, the Miz didn’t hesitate.
“Hell yeah,” he said. “Are you kidding me? I’d train him into a superstar. As big of a superstar as he is in the NFL we will make him as big of a superstar in the WWE.
”He could be very dangerous in the WWE,” the Miz continued about Jason Kelce.
“Not even just the athleticism and the part of the wrestling which I absolutely think he could do, I watched him jump up at a Bills game from way down and jump up into a window, and I was like oh my God how did he do that? That was incredible. Then you see the athleticism on the football field. But then the charisma like we were talking about, the ability to talk on a microphone and to be captivating and innovative, I just think is something he has a knack for. Whatever Jason Kelce wants to do he can do.”
It’s unclear if Kelce would take WWE up on any future offers. He’s spent 13 years putting his body on the line and has made it clear he wants to spend time with his family.
He also will have no shortage of media opportunities, both solo, and with the “New Heights” podcast he does with his brother.
Jason Kelce Poised For Major Payday For Podcast With Brother Travis
Since launching in September 2022, the Kelce brothers’ “New Heights” podcast has exploded in popularity.
Jason and Travis Kelce are reportedly in the process of shopping their podcast to various media brands, and could be in line for a big payday.
Eric Silver, the head of development at the podcast collective Multitude, told MarketWatch that the Kelce brothers could command a contract worth upwards of $100 million, which is what actors Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes received from SiriusXM for their “SmartLess” podcast.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if it was around the same as ‘SmartLess.’ I wouldn’t be surprised if it was $100 million,” Silver said about Travis Kelce and his brother’s potential price as the continue negotiations.
Theoretically, Jason Kelce could have more time to devote to podcasting after announcing his retirement from the NFL after 13 seasons after the season.
“There is no chance I’d be here without the bond Travis and I share,” Jason said during his emotional 45-minute press conference. “It made me stronger, tougher, smarter, and taught me the values of cooperation, loyalty, patience, and understanding. It’s only too poetic I found my career being fulfilled in the City of Brotherly Love.”
“New Heights” currently ranks as the No. 1 American sports podcast on Spotify and the No. 2 American sports podcast on Apple. The brothers are also in the top 25 for all American podcasts on Spotify.
