The news on Tuesday saw the Seattle Seahawks cut former All-Pro safety Jamal Adams to give the team some additional cap space. There is still a spot in the league for a safety who was drafted in the first round of the NFL draft. But what teams are going to be interested in trying to bolster their secondary if Adams is able to stay healthy?
Jamal Adams Landing Spot #1: Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys are going to lose some significant pieces due to the salary cap and Adams seems like one person who would consider taking a discount to play for America’s team. With Jayron Kerse being a free agent this offseason, this could be a move to get the fanbase excited while upgrading at the safety position.
Jamal Adams Landing Spot #2: Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens are a team that is known for their defense and getting Adams would be a great addition. This Ravens team has two good safeties under contract with Kyle Hamilton and Marcus Williams and could use the latter as trade bait for some more draft picks.
Their defense did very well but adding “Prez” to the secondary would make this team even scarier than they were in the regular season.
Jamal Adams Landing Spot #3: Philadephia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles have some serious woes in their secondary and could try to get someone who has some experience doing well at this level. With defensive coordinator Vic Fangio calling the shots on this side of the football, the Eagles are going to have some pressure and general manager Howie Roseman has proven to make a splash with some players that have name value.
