Jackson Mahomes, brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was sentenced to six months probation in an assault case featuring a woman.
Jackson pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor count of battery in his sentencing hearing that took place on a videoconference Thursday, according to online court records. The Johnson County Sherrif’s office, which took him into custody after the hearing, will determine if he is available for work release.
Jackson Mahomes, brother of Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, had three felony assault charges dismissed
Before the carrying out of this particular battery charge, Jackson already had three felony aggravated sexual battery charges dismissed by prosecutors just two months ago.
The accusations present in the dismissed charges alleged that Jackson “grabbed a woman by the neck and kissed her against her will inside an Overland Park, Kansas, restaurant in February 2023.”
The charges ended up being dismissed because the woman in question was not cooperating. The woman said she received death threats and harassment due to the case. In an article from ESPN, Mahomes’ attorney Brandan Davies said he did nothing wrong.
“[Jackson] has done nothing wrong. We had full confidence that the truth of the matter would ultimately be revealed.”
The other battery case, which Mahomes pleaded guilty to, occurred when a waiter tried to come into the room that he was in with the woman.
Fans, even those of the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes, have no sympathy for Jackson Mahomes
Even die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fans have no sympathy for his brother Jackson and his six-month sentence.
Many of them believe Jackson got off with a light sentence due to the weight his name carries as many believe he should have ended up in jail.
Patty Pat will still invite this criminal to all the Chief’s events

Patrick’s brother, Jackson, isn’t the only member of the Mahomes family to endure legal trouble. Mahomes’ father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., was arrested for driving while intoxicated the week of the Super Bowl.
Regardless the Chiefs, led by Patrick, went on to win their third Super Bowl in five years against the San Francisco 49ers.
