Recruiting has been eventful for Hawaii football. Last week I wrote about offensive lineman Kaleb Jackson Carter. This week I write about talented wide receiver Maclane Watkins. Hawaii wanted to add some depth to a talented receiving core and recruited Maclane Watkins. Maclane Watkins officially committed to Hawaii in December. Hawaii football fans should welcome Watkins with open arms because of what he can do on the gridiron.
I was fortunate enough to interview Watkins. Watkins is a 3-star athlete who plays football and basketball. Watkins stands at 6 feet 5 inches and uses his size to make plays on the gridiron.
