Florida saw all its hopes and dreams go down the toilet when it lost at home to Miami on Saturday, 41-17, and the season isn’t going to get any easier.
The Gators have one of the hardest schedules in college football, and there is a great chance they will not win more than three games. ESPN’s Football Power Index doesn’t think Florida is going to have any type of season.
ESPN’s FPI Had Florida Winning One Game
ESPN’s FPI released the chances Florida has to win each game. They have a 98.7% chance to beat Samford, and then they don’t have another game where they are favored to win.

vs Samford 98.7%
vs Texas A&M 40.9%

The Gators are underdogs to Texas A&M, Mississippi State UCF, and Kentucky in all games they could win, but then they have to face Texas, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Georgia, LSU, and Florida State in contests they have no chance in.
Florida already has one loss, and there is no way they are beating Texas, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Georgia, LSU, and Florida State, so add another six losses to the one they already have, and they won’t be going to a bowl game.
Nobody has any hope that the Gators will make a bowl game this season, but losing to Mississippi State or UCF would be a shock.
Florida isn’t a great football team, and they were always going to have a tough season because of their schedule, but they should be a lot better than what they showed the world on Saturday.
Head coach Billy Napier will most likely not survive the season, and the program will be heading in a different direction at the end of the year.Florida is going down a road that no college football team wants to go down: losing games, firing the head coach, and then having to rebuild the program.
It’s going to be a long season in Gainesville, but the rebuild they are about to be faced with is going to be a longer one.
