On Saturday, the Florida Gators showed the entire college football world that their program has no pulse with a 41-17 loss at home against Miami, and head coach Billy Napier was hearing it from the fans.
Many Gator fans took to social media after the game on Saturday to fire Napier. On Monday, the 45-year-old head coach went after Florida fans, saying his players must stop worrying about what some fan in his basement thinks about the team.
There is a lot of disagreement between Gator fans and Napier at the moment, and it most likely won’t get better throughout the season since Florida has the toughest schedule in the country.
Florida is heading for a terrible year and another season finishing below 500, which would be the fourth year in a row. There is a great chance Napier won’t survive the season. If the Gators do make a change this offseason, fans have been asking the team to bring back maybe Urban Meyer, which is a dream scenario. Others have brought up hiring a coach they will see on their schedule this season.
Florida Fans Want Rival SEC Coach
On November 23rd, Florida will host Ole Miss in a game the Rebels should win by 30. Their head coach, Lane Kiffin, has been mentioned by many Gator fans as a possible Napier replacement.A Lane Kiffin Offense at Florida would feed families 😭

Kiffin just entered his fifth season at Ole Miss and has a great squad that could win the national championship this season.
It is going to take a lot of money to get Kiffin away from Oxford, and at the moment, Ole Miss seems to be a better place for a head coach than Florida.
Since Urban Meyer left the Gators in 2010, the program hasn’t been great. They have gone through four head coaches, which doesn’t count the interim coaches who took over in the middle of the season.
Florida just doesn’t seem to be a top job anymore, and there is no reason why Kiffn should want to leave what he built at Ole Miss and head to Gainesville.
The 49-year-old head coach has built a great program at Ole Miss and has done a wonderful job with recruiting the transfer portal and NIL. Leaving all that for a job that can’t see a head coach stay in the same place for more than five seasons just doesn’t make sense.
The Gators most likely won’t be seeing Napier on their sidelines next year, but don’t expect Lane Kiffin to be the guy to replace him.
