Hey squad, let’s kick off the Waiver Wire Week 14 Edition, as always it’s your favorite fantasy football guru, KP! How are we having bye-maggedon, the second reckoning during playoff weeks or the crucial week before playoffs? That’s insane, get it together NFL. As always, leagues are won with post-draft acquisitions. While, you can win on drafting talent alone, the waiver wire is primarily where losses can become wins.
A friendly reminder peeps! Always start your stars, especially as we inch closer to fantasy playoffs. Of course, if you’re able to take a chance or need something to change, go for it but do not get cute! Let’s get started and check out KP’s Waiver Wire Week 14 Edition Fantasy Football Family!
Key Injuries to consider:
- Lamar Jackson is unlikely to play this weekend, and is in doubt for even further

- Kenneth Walker (ankle) availability is in doubt
- Treylon Burks (concussion) could miss this week
Bye Week
- Atlanta

- Washington
Waiver Wire Week 12 targets by positions
Quarterbacks

- Tyler Huntley at PIT – rostered 1% Yahoo / 0.3% ESPN
- Kenny Pickett vs BAL – rostered 13% Yahoo / 9.9% ESPN
If you’re a Lamar Jackson manager or have Fields, Mariota or Rodgers on bye – Huntley needs to be your top add this week. It’s very rare you find a starting quarterback this late in the season, but hey, you’re finding him here in the Waiver Wire Week 14! Now, he didn’t play very well in his first outing against the Steelers, but with this team needing to get back on track, I do think Huntley and his ability to go out and win is the right person for the job. There are several injuries that are going to prevent him from being a top tier option, but he still should be taken for relief purposes.
Running backs
- Cam Akers vs LV – rostered: 46% Yahoo / 53.2% ESPN
- James Cook vs NYJ – rostered: 24% Yahoo / 25.3% ESPN
I’m not yet ready to anoint Cook as the RB1 in this backfield, but he certainly made his case this past weekend. He out-touched, out gained and narrowly out snapped Devin Singletary. If your team has been plagued with the injury bug, Cook should be your answer especially if you’re in line for the playoffs. This week’s matchup isn’t ideal but with matchups like: Miami, Chicago and Cincy for a playoff run – he has to be rostered at this point.
Wide Receivers
- Demarcus Robinson at PIT- rostered: 12% Yahoo / 8.2% ESPN
- Isaiah Hodgins vs PHI – rostered: 0% Yahoo / 0.1% ESPN
- Michael Gallup vs HST – rostered: 53% Yahoo / 44.1% ESPN
I always love a good hidden gem. I do believe that’s Hodgins as he’s been rather quite as he was inserted into the receiving core for the Giants. He had his best game yet this past weekend. He played 80% of the snaps and saw six targets, which he turn into five catches for 44 yards and a touchdown. Like Cook, he’s got a rather tough matchup going against the hottest team in the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles, he’s got matchups with Washington, Minnesota and Indianapolis on the horizon definitely worth a look if you need some change!
Tight Ends
- Evan Engram @TEN – rostered: 43% Yahoo / 35% ESPN
- Greg Dulcich vs KC –rostered: 37% Yahoo / 38.6% ESPN
Unless you’re rostering Travis Kelce, for the Waiver Wire Week 14 options we will have to make do with who’s available. I really like Dulchich, he hasn’t been very consistent, but that can be largely attributed to poor offensive and quarterback play. That said, going against Kansas City, he’s a reasonable start for this coming week. As noted above, Sutton did have an injury and based on some reports he may miss extended time – this leaves targets for Dulcich to see!
Recap on the Season
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed providing weekly updates and, hopefully, leading you to a championship. It’s always important to remember that these are suggestions, if you have star players that underperform one week, hold true to that player and do not discard them for this week’s hottest player. Until next time, I hope you enjoyed my Waiver Wire Week 14 edition, please join me next week as I breakdown week 15 and playoffs!
