Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups Week 11
Quarterbacks
QB Russell Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers Rostered: 22%
Russell Wilson’s deep passing was on display in Week 10, with four of his 14 completions going for 20+ yards. While he only completed 14 passes, Wilson made them count, tallying three touchdowns and 19.1 fantasy points. His aggressive play style makes him a must-add off of the waiver wire and a solid start in favorable matchups for the next four weeks.
QB Bo Nix, Denver Broncos Rostered: 33%
Bo Nix (aka Ferris) has emerged as one of fantasy’s biggest surprises at quarterback this season. Before Week 10, he averaged 17.3 points per game, ranking as QB8. Last Sunday, he added another 16.1 points with 215 yards and two touchdowns. Nix has excelled against weaker secondaries and adds valuable rushing production as a dual threat. He’s a versatile start across various matchups and a smart add for teams needing a reliable QB1 option.

Wide Receivers
WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, New Orleans Saints Rostered: 1%
With Rashid Shaheed out for the season, the Saints needed a deep-threat receiver to stretch defenses—and Marquez Valdes-Scantling may fit the bill. He delivered 109 yards and two touchdowns, though he saw only 14 percent of the team’s targets, consistent with his career trend of lower target volume. Valdes-Scantling remains a high-risk, high-reward option for teams in need of wide receiver depth.

WR Ricky Pearsall, San Francisco 49ers Rostered: 37%
In just his third NFL game, Ricky Pearsall showed some good 4/73/1 stat-line numbers, with all of his production coming via a 46-yard touchdown catch. He saw six targets, meaning Pearsall is becoming a big part of the offense. He can only continue to develop, and really, as he gains more experience, he can be a great roster addition in any elite offense.
Mentionables: WR Jerry Jeudy, Cleveland Browns Rostered: 45%
Running Backs
RB Cam Akers, Minnesota Vikings Rostered: 14%
Week 10 reaffirmed that Cam Akers is the top handcuff option in Minnesota’s backfield. When Aaron Jones exited for over a quarter with a rib injury, it was Akers who stepped in, finishing with 13 carries compared to Ty Chandler’s four. Even though Jones returned to the game, rib injuries can linger. We’ll have to see how he fairs this week once the adrenalin has worn off. Cam Akers will, nonetheless, be a good stash in a strong offense.

RB Audric Estime, Denver Broncos Rostered: 3%
After stating in a press conference that Audric Estime would see more involvement, Sean Payton followed through by making him the Broncos’ lead back. Estime led the backfield in snaps and logged 14 carries against the Chiefs, while Jaleel McLaughlin and Javonte Williams had just five combined touches. Payton has shown unpredictability with his running back usage, but Estime is worth a pickup in hopes he maintains this role.
Mentionables: RB Gus Edwards, Los Angeles Chargers Rostered: 17%
Tight Ends
TE Theo Johnson, New York Giants Rostered: 2%
In the past three weeks, Johnson has carved out a role in the Giants’ offense. He’s recorded 16 targets, 10 catches, 123 yards, and a touchdown over this span. He’s not TE1 material yet, but if you need a fill-in during bye weeks or are willing to take a risk, Johnson is a solid add.

TE Jonnu Smith, Miami Dolphins Rostered: 25%
Now that Tua Tagovailoa is back, Smith has continued to turn in steady work, earning an 18% target share in the last two games and averaging 4.5 receptions for 33 yards. Perhaps Tyreek Hill’s lingering wrist injury contributed to the uptick in targets. In Week 10, he has a great matchup against the Rams, who allow the second-most fantasy points and fourth-most yards to the position, making him a possible TE1 this week and the three following weeks.

Defenses
DEF Houston Texans Rostered: 44%
The Houston Texans have quietly built a surprisingly solid defense this season. Intercepting Jared Goff five times in Week 10 has been a recent highlight. Next week, they’ll face a Dallas Cowboys team missing Dak Prescott, who’s out for the foreseeable future with a partial avulsion of his right hamstring. Cooper Rush will start for the second straight week after a tough 34-6 loss to the Eagles in his first start this season. With Dak sidelined and CeeDee Lamb dealing with a shoulder injury, the Cowboys are struggling to get their offense in rhythm. The Texans’ defense is a strong start in this Texas showdown.
DEF Miami Dolphins Rostered: 28%
The Miami Dolphins have been one of fantasy’s lowest-performing defenses this season, but they’re set to face one of the league’s least-productive offenses: the Las Vegas Raiders. Without Davante Adams, the Raiders have topped 20 points only once and managed less than 4.0 yards per play in Week 9 against the Bengals. For comparison, even the Panthers’ offense is averaging 4.9 yards per play. With Gardner Minshew, Jakobi Meyers, and Brock Bowers posing minimal threat, the Dolphins’ defense should be able to contain the Raiders’ offense and limit their output.
