Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott faces uncertainty after a hamstring injury during Sunday’s 27-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Prescott’s injury, which he described as a “high hamstring pull,” occurred following a scramble late in the third quarter. He was taken out shortly after, and backup quarterback Cooper Rush finished the game for Dallas.

Well known for being one to push through injuries, Dak Prescott said he hoped he’d be back for the Cowboys’ critical Week 10 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. After the game, he said, “It’ll take a lot for me to not be out there,” remaining optimistic despite the looming MRI to determine how serious it is.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was not happy and described the injury as a ‘high hamstring injury.’ But Prescott bounced back from past injuries quickly and said he didn’t feel the issue at first but did after getting up from the tackle, and noted the discomfort. Prescott visibly grimaced on the following play with an incomplete pass thrown, a signal the injury was serious.

Dak Prescott Optimistic Ahead of MRI
Dak Prescott, of course, isn’t new to injury setbacks; he missed all of 2020 because he suffered a nasty ankle injury and in 2022, a thumb injury. Prescott has been a fixture for Dallas since his first game there in 2016, with a start streak of 36 in a row before this one.
