Fans waiting eagerly for the EA Sports College Football release date to be announced will have to wait a little longer to learn when the highly anticipated video game will hit shelves this summer. A source with direct knowledge of the product’s release contradicted an earlier report giving a specific date.
EA Sports college football release date was thought to be July 12
David Waters with Gators Breakdown had a post on X go viral when they claimed a source told them the video game got a July 12th launch.

However, that date cannot be confirmed. Journalist Matt Brown wrote on X that he talked to two sources at EA Sports with “direct knowledge” of the product’s release date. Brown said both sources claimed they had not shared a precise date with anyone and could not confirm July 12 as the launch date.

The video game’s future release date is unknown
John Reseburg, VP of Global Marketing, Communications, and Partnerships for EA SPORTS, confirmed Brown’s report on X.
“This is correct – we’ve said it’s coming this summer, and we’ve not announced a specific date,” Reseburg wrote.

The game will be released this summer, at least
January has seen a series of minor letdowns for fans nervously anticipating the return of the popular EA franchise. Many fans expected a trailer for the game to appear during the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. But that rumor turned out not to be true.
The good news from Reseburg’s report is that the game will be released this summer. After years of rumored releases, we’ll have a new college football game to play this fall.
