One of the best secondary players on the Denver Broncos can’t stay out of trouble. Kareem Jackson, who earlier this week got slapped with a massive $43,709 fine for unnecessary roughness for a hit in Week 6, was ejected in Sunday’s contest against the Green Bay Packers. Jackson shot himself helmet first at Packers TE Luke Musgrave, making helmet-to-helmet contact with the rookie while he presented himself as a defenseless receiver.

Denver Broncos Safety Kareem Jackson: Continues to Make Headlines for All the Wrong Reasons
Jackson has remained in the league office’s spotlight all year, getting fined last week for the fourth time this season. The former first-round pick earned three fines for unnecessary roughness to start the season, one for each of the season’s first three games, totaling $45,961. His most recent fine nearly eclipsed the first three combined. However, the NFL and Roger Goodell will surely drop the hammer on Jackson in the upcoming days. A hefty fine is imminent, and a suspension could be in play.
Broncos HC Sean Payton: Jackson is in the NFL’s Spotlight
“One of the challenges for Kareem is he’s got some priors… We got to keep finding ways to keep the head out of the main part of the hit,” said head coach Sean Payton about the hit that led to his star safety getting the early boot.
Kareem Jackson is in year five with the Denver Broncos. Entering Sunday, the Alabama product had 37 tackles and two interceptions. He tallied five tackles before his ejection after the illegal hit on Green Bay’s Luke Musgrave. Jackson has had a solid NFL career, accumulating 22 interceptions and 938 tackles in 14 seasons.
