The 2024 season will be quite the emotional one for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes, and for good reason.
There are massive expectations for the Buffaloes to perform next season after the major step they took in the past campaign. But aside from that, Sanders has a different reason why the year will be quite different for him.
Deion Sanders Drops Truth on Colorado Buffaloes’ 2024 Season
While speaking on Well Off Media recently, Sanders admitted that the new season will be an “emotional” one for him because it will be the last time he’s coaching his sons, Shilo and Shedeur Sanders.
Both players are expected to take the next chapter of their football careers after the 2024 season. In fact, there were talks about Shedeur potentially entering the draft this year before opting to return for another season in Boulder.
“Every game is going to be about passion and love. This is going to be the last time I coach my sons,” Coach Prime said, via Sports Illustrated.
It’s definitely easy to see where Sanders is coming from. This is family we’re talking about. He has been with his sons since their Jackson State days, and they have accomplished a lot together.
Their move to Colorado is especially noteworthy since they were able to quickly turn things around, becoming a media sensation as they took the college football world by storm.
It will be interesting to see how the 2024 campaign turns out for the Sanders family, though one thing is certain: they will have plenty of motivation to win and make the most of the year.
Deion Sanders’ Son a Potential Top Pick in 2025
A bright future awaits for both of Deion Sanders’ sons. Both Shilo and Shedeur Sanders are expected to be taken in the early rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Shedeur, in particular, has a chance to be a Top 5 pick in the class of 2025. He is projected to be one of the top QBs available, along with Georgia’s Carson Beck and Texas’ Quinn Ewers.
In a class that is lacking a deep quarterback crop, Shedeur is certainly in a great position to be drafted early.
Of course everything will still depend on how Shedeur performs in the 2025 collegiate season, but if we’re basing things on how his first year with the Colorado Buffaloes went, then he’s on a good path.
