The Dallas Cowboys are America’s team for a reason: They love the drama and spotlight. Back in the early part of the offseason, rumors were floating around Dallas that current head coach Mike McCarthy could’ve been out the door, and former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick could replace him.
The Cowboys decided not to move on from McCarthy and at least give him one more season. Belichick, who was in the running for some NFL head coaching jobs this cycle, never landed a job, so he is still on the open market. Predictions are being made that the Cowboys could let McCarthy go after the 2024 season and hire Belichick. An article came out early this week titled Bill Belichick Gets Hired By The Dallas Cowboys, Leaving Mike McCarthy Looking For A New Job In A Bold Prediction was going off of NFL Networks Judy Battista article Bold predictions for 2024 NFL season: Bears, Jets end playoff droughts; Chiefs three-peat! which as the Cowboys making the playoffs, losing early and hiring Belichick.
Dallas Cowboys Fans Had Some Crazy Reactions To The Article
In the article Bill Belichick Gets Hired By The Dallas Cowboys, Leaving Mike McCarthy Looking For A New Job In A Bold Prediction, many Dallas Cowboys fans had some crazy reactions to their team hiring the six-time Super Bowl Champion head coach. One fan was very happy about the news Belichick could be coming to town and said, “He is the best coach in the league.”
Belichick might be the greatest coach of all time, but he has yet to adapt to the new age of the NFL in the last few seasons and will be 73 years old next year. So, he could come back and be a very good coach, but his days as one of the best coaches are over.
Another fan was unhappy with the rumor and said, ” Joke, right? Jerry Jones Is not a smart man”.
If you know Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, you know he loves to be in the spotlight and make a big splash in anything he does. Hiring Belichick would be a major cannonball in the deep end of the pool, so never put it past him to do anything.
Some Cowboys fans worry not about the coach but the quarterback. This fan has no idea who he wants as the next head coach, but he knows they need a new signal caller.
There is a chance that current quarterback Dak Prescott will play his last season in Dallas this year, with him set to be a free agent at season’s end. There have been no conversations about him coming back. The Cowboys’ issue is not Prescott, and he is one of the best in the league, so replacing him would not be a smart move.
If Dallas does indeed replace Prescott and hire Belichick, this fan wants them to bring in quarterback Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski.
Sadly for this fan, he will not get his wish of Brady and Gronkowski coming out of retirement to join the Cowboys. Brady will be 48 years old by next year’s season and has a broadcasting deal with Fox. At the moment, there is no way he will come out of retirement to give that job up. Gronkowski will be 36 years old by next season and hasn’t played since 2021, so that would be three years in a row off. He has already dealt with injuries in the past, so he will also not be coming out of retirement.
If Belichick does coach the Dallas Cowboys next season, he will have to do it without Brady and Gronkowski and will have to make a lot of decisions on who he will want to play quarterback.

Wish they would leave Dak alone and concentrate on defense and a running back. Too many times Dallas has scored 21 points and their has felled to hold the lead. Dak needs a running game to help him manage the game. Throwing the ball 40 times is not the answer, ask Dan Fouts.
