The Cleveland Browns are hard at work making moves for the upcoming season. The team’s general manager, Andrew Berry, has been trading and signing key players who can help the Browns make a Super Bowl run. Also, the stadium where the Browns play their home games caught fire on Tuesday.
Cleveland Browns Stadium Had A Small Fire
According to Cleveland19.com, a small fire broke out at the stadium, and fire crews came around 2:45 PM ET to put it out. The fire was located in one of the storage areas in the stadium, and nobody was injured, but an investigation of why the fire started is still yet to be determined.
Cleveland Browns Stadium Is Set To Host A Major Event This Summer
The Browns stadium also got massive news on Tuesday that they will host the WWE Summer Slam on August 3rd.
Cleveland has wanted a new stadium for a while, and it could come very soon. Owner Jimmy Haslam bought 176 acres of land near Brookpark, a few miles from Cleveland, and that could be the location for the new stadium.
The Browns’ current lease on the stadium they’re playing in doesn’t come up until 2028, so it will be a little while until there could be a new home for the Cleveland Browns.
The stadium would have to include a dome so Browns fans won’t be cold when the winter games come around, and they can host major events like the Super Bowl, Final Four, College Football National Championship Game, and maybe even some College Bowl Games.
The Browns are set to play eight regular season games and two pre-season games this year at home since they hosted nine regular-season games last year.
