All eyes are on the Chicago Bears leading up to the NFL Draft. Right now, they hold the top overall pick in one of the deepest quarterback classes in recent years. What makes it more interesting is that they still have QB Justin Fields.
Earlier today, we received a big tip about what might happen with Fields. Read below to find out more about this.
Chicago Bears Intend to “Do Right” by Justin Fields
This morning, at the NFL Scouting Combine, Bears GM Ryan Poles addressed a question regarding Fields’ future with the Bears. He answered that question by heavily hinting that they would be willing to move Fields in a timely manner. Here is what he had to say:
“If we go down that road, I want to do right by Justin (Fields)… We’ll move as quickly as possible.” -Ryan Poles
Adam Schefter of ESPN also mentioned that Poles said earlier Fields should move before free agency begins if the Bears decide to go in a different direction. Teams can officially sign free agents on March 13th.
Did Poles Tip His Hand?
This is not the talking point Poles has had on this situation recently. An earlier report also indicated that it would take something massive for the Bears to trade their top overall pick. As a result, unless the Bears receive an offer they can’t refuse, these two reports could be a sign that the Bears intend to trade Fields sooner rather than later.
