The Buffalo Bills will have second-team All-Pro nickelback corner Taron Johnson for their divisional round matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Johnson suffered a concussion in a wildcard game against the Pittsburgh Steelers that was postponed due to weather. Despite the short recovery period, Johnson cleared concussion protocol and will be playing against the Chiefs.
In an article from Syracuse.com, Johnson was confident that he would be able to make it for the game against the Chiefs.
“Taking it one day at a time,” he said. “I thought I was gonna go back in the game (against the Steelers) because I felt fine. But they’re just looking out for me. … just making sure I do everything it takes (to try to get back and play).
Defensive Back Taron Johnson was a major factor in the Buffalo Bills win against the Kansas City Chiefs earlier in the season
Johnson played a major factor in the Bills most recent win against the Chiefs. His nine tackles was the second-most tackles he has had in a game this season.
Johnson also make a critical fumble recovery to help the Bills on their way to a late season playoff bid. Johnson also had one of his eight pass deflections in the victory over the Chiefs.
Johnson had the game-sealing interception when the Bills played the Chiefs in 2022.

The Buffalo Bills will have defensive back Taron Johnson, but they are far from fully healthy
The Buffalo Bills will have all-pro defensive back taron johnson, but they will be without one of their best offensive weapons in Gabe Davis. Davis had one of the best games of his career in the instant classic 2021 divisional round matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Davis did not perform well when the Chiefs played the Bills earlier this season. It was one of the four games this season in which Davis ended the game with zero receptions.
The Bills will also be without safety Taylor Rapp, cornerback Christian Benford and linebacker Baylon Spector. In the aforementioned Syracuse.com article, head coach Sean McDermott explained that many players have stepped up, and they will have to do so to beat quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Our team has fought all season long,” he said. “We’re not going to stop fighting now. Our team’s been resilient, and our players have done a phenomenal job of stepping up when someone has gone down in their position or their position group. We saw evidence of that (against the Steelers).”
