The Buffalo Bills absolutely demolished the high flying Dallas Cowboys. It was so bad that many called the Cowboys “mentally soft” after taking such a beat down. Josh Allen and the Bills looked much more like the Bills team we have seen over the last few years as of late, and as they go into the final stretch of the season they could walk into the playoffs as the most dangerous team in the AFC.
The Bills have underperformed so far this year talking many losses that should’ve easily been wins. They also have suffered some key injuries this year at many positions that has definitely played a roll in their weak play at different points throughout the year. However, the Bills seemed to have hit their stride accomplishing a few impressive wins recently, with the most impressive coming this past week against the cowboys. Josh Allen has now found himself third in MVP odds and irrelevant to taking home the award the Bills are finally trending in a great direction if they can get into the playoff race.
If the Bills can secure a playoff spot there isn’t any team in the AFC that would want to run into them in the playoffs especially in the first round. They are a hungry team with some solid playoff experience and they can beat anyone at any time. Besides the Baltimore Ravens, every team in the AFC has shown weaknesses at many points throughout the year, and the Bills could definitely make a lot of noise in the playoffs if they can get there.
Can the Buffalo Bills Still Win The AFC East
The Buffalo Bills still have a real chance at winning the AFC East division just two games behind the Miami Dolphins. The Bill will still play Miami one more time this year, and the Dolphins don’t have any easy games left now facing the Cowboys, Bills, and Ravens. If the Bills can go into Miami and handle them, there is a great chance they can go on to twin the division. In a recent Bleacher Report Article by Jack Murray, he highlights how impressive the Bills looked writing:
“Buffalo put up 31 points with just 351 yards of offense, meaning the drives the team did have were extremely efficient. The defense limited the Cowboys to just 195 yards of offense, forced a turnover and broke a five-game streak of the team’s offense scoring more than 30 points.”
That stat line looks pretty scary at the Cowboys are a legitimate contender themselves. He continued by writing:
“Combine this with the fact that the Cowboys are a true Super Bowl contender and that the Bills have taken down Dallas one week after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs and it appears that this team is peaking at the right time.”
If they can find a way to win the division, everyone will be on edge and pray not to meet them in the playoffs. Either way, if they get in they might be a scary and sneaky Super Bowl contender that no one is going to want to see.
Josh Allen threw for 94 yards in the #Bills 31-10 win.
