After not converting a 3rd down after the two-minute warning, Buffalo decided to send out the kicking unit and tie the game. Bills Kicker Tyler Bass, who missed 2 field goals in the bad weather last week versus the Pittsburgh Steelers did not have a change in luck. Missing wide right and putting the ball in the hands of the Chiefs with under 2 minutes left.
Isaiah Pacheco Runs for Game-Clinching First Down vs Buffalo Bills
Isiah Pacheco was able to pick up a first down on the next drive and Kansas City ran the rest of the clock out, ending the Bills season once again. Pacheco carried the ball 15 times for 97 yards and a touchdown tonight versus Buffalo and dominated the run game in the second half. He also added 14 yards on 1 catch out of the backfield.
Travis Kelce Drops 2 Touchdown Performance in Win Over Bills
Travis Kelce has had a relatively quiet season compared to years prior, but was able to deliver a classic playoff performance as the team’s top pass catcher. Kelce grabbed 5 of his 6 targets for 75 yards and 2 touchdowns including a connection in the fourth quarter to take the lead. Kelce now has over 1,600 yards and 16 touchdowns in his post-season career.
Kansas City Advances to 6th Straight AFC Championship Game Under Patrick Mahomes
The Chiefs have now made the AFC Championship game in the last 6 seasons and have not missed the post-season since drafting franchise quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Kansas City will head to Baltimore to take on MVP candidate Lamar Jackson and the Ravens next Sunday.
