Kenny Pickett Injury
Pickett has been listed as “Questionable” all week relating to his availability this Sunday. It was originally thought that the backup Mitch Trubisky would get the start this week, but after these comments from the man himself, it looks like Pickett will end up playing after all.
The Steelers starting quarterback suffered the injury late in the third quarter of last week’s game against Houston and had to be helped off of the field by the training staff. He was officially ruled out of the game and it was speculated that his injury was more serious than it ended up being.
Steelers Struggles
Kenny Pickett has been off to a disappointing start this season, only amounting to 803 passing yards and four touchdowns. The Pittsburgh quarterback was expected to have a big leap in 2023, projecting the Steelers to clinch a postseason birth this year. However, this has not been the case so far, and Pickett will have to turn things around significantly if Pittsburgh wants to compete for a playoff spot.
Pittsburgh is currently sitting at a 2-2 record only behind the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North. If the Steelers can manage to pull off the upset this week with Pickett playing, it will certainly boost the team’s confidence going into the rest of the season.
