New England Patriots fans reacted to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that head coach Bill Belichick signed a new contract this offseason.
The signing news came as a surprise to NFL fans and pundits. There had been rampant speculation starting in the offseason that Belichick would be on the hot seat this season. Patriots owner Robert Kraft made several comments this offseason about needing to make the playoffs.
The Patriots aren’t on track to make the playoffs this season. The offense has played poorly under starting quarterback Mac Jones. The Patriots are 1-5 heading into Week 7.

Only good thing about this is it makes Kraft look really bad and if the Pats get another blowout loss, does Kraft call the Giants and ask if they want bill in a trade, lol.

@603Patriots I was almost brought to tears by this terrible news. Extended after a year we missed the playoffs just to go 1-5 the next and not even look competitive. My suffering will last years bc we can’t let go of what once was
