The Cincinnati Bearcats are looking to take down the Miami University Redhawks again in a rivalry they have dominated lately. Cincinnati has been victorious in the last 15 meeting between the teams and look to make it 16 after Saturday. In one of the oldest running College Football Rivalries there is, it is the recent success of the Bearcats that stands out.

Cincinnati is looking to take down the Redhawks and ring the Victory Bell again.
Lorenz Metz (51) and James Tunstall (72) carry the Victory bell around Nippert Stadium after beating Miami (OH) in 2021.

Following the success of the Bearcats from their 63-10 win last week the team looks for that same success this week. Although the game may be away from Nippert Stadium it won’t be far as it is being played at the Cincinnati Bengals Paycor Stadium.

    Offensive Replication:

After the win last week which featured an offensive explosion Ben Bryant and the offense are looking to replicate the success. Bryant was able to pick apart the Kennesaw State defense for 201 yards and three touchdowns. Bryant and the receivers were not the only part of the offense as the rushing game also shined. That would be to the tune of over 200 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

    Stout Defense:

Lately the Bearcats have had an outstanding defense against the Redhawks, as during the winning streak the Bearcats have allowed more than 25 points only once. Also during the streak they have posted three different shutouts just showing their dominance over the Redhawks.

    Game Outlook:

While the writing may be on the wall for the Bearcats to get their 16th straight win, they will have to do it without Malik Vann and Will Pauling as coach Luke Fickell announced they both suffered injuries.  The injury to Vann will keep him out the rest of this season. Meanwhile Pauling may only miss a few weeks. The injuries are to key guys on both sides of the ball that the Bearcats will have to replace to keep the team running smoothly.

    Game prediction:

Just like last weekend I predicted a big win for the Bearcats. The Bearcats as a team are in a much better position that the Redhawks so it should not be a close game this week. I’m predicting an offensive explosion and a defensive masterclass to the tune of 49-10 Bearcats.
