The Baltimore Ravens made a critical milestone for the 2023 season after their win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The Ravens improved to 11-3 on the season by knocking off a potential AFC playoff opponent on Sunday Night Football.
The Jaguars fell to 8-6 and are tied with the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans for the AFC South lead. The Jaguars’ playoff spot is far from secure, with three games remaining on their schedule.
But the Ravens don’t need to worry about getting into the playoffs.
According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Ravens clinched a playoff spot with their win Sunday night. They have the best AFC record and remain in the driver’s seat to earn the number one seed and a bye in the postseason.
🏈With tonight’s win over the Jaguars, the Ravens now have clinched a playoff spot and own an AFC-best 11-3 record, with the inside track at the No. 1 seed.
🏈In the AFC South, the Jaguars, Colts and Texans all now have 8-6 records.
