Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award during the NFL Honors ceremony on Thursday night. The 38-year old was not signed by any team after becoming a free agent at the end of the 2022 season. Chicago Bears kick and punt return specialist Devin Hester was one of three former Bears players whose election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame was announced during the NFL Honors ceremony on Thursday night. In addition to Hester, former Bears Steve McMichael and Julius Peppers were also named as part of the 2024 Hall of Fame class. They will be inducted into Canton later this summer. Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is have a special season so far in 2023. Through 11 games, he has 88 receptions for 1,324 yards and 10 touchdowns. He currently leads the NFL in several categories: receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, receiving yards per game (120.4), yards per touch (14.8), and yards from scrimmage (1,343). The Miami Dolphins were able to improve to 2-0 and are in first place in the AFC East after a 24-17 win over the New England Patriots. It was not the offensive explosion that their Week One 36-34 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers was in Week One, but stars Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa still were able to leave their mark on the game. The Kansas City Chiefs were dealt an unexpected and major blow when four-time All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce suffered a hyperextended knee injury during practice on Tuesday.
