Mike McCarthy enters his third season as the head coach for the Dallas Cowboys. The Sooners continue to boom this month, adding corner Jasiah Wagoner. He chose Oklahoma over Texas, Oregon, and California. The four-star athlete the eighth commit in July for Brent Venables’ program. Wagoner received an offer from the University of Oklahoma in the spring. After a quiet start to their 2023 recruiting cycle, Stanford added their second prospect this week. Tight end Walker Lyons announced his pledge to David Shaw’s program. The four-star athlete becomes the Cardinal’s top verbal commit. He chose Stanford over BYU, Ohio State, Utah, and USC. Joenel Aguero, the No. 1 player in the state of Massachusetts, announced his commitment to the reigning national champions. The four-star safety chose Georgia over Ohio State, Florida, and Miami. He made his pledge to the Bulldogs on a live broadcast on CBS Sports. The prospect got his first look at Athens during his unofficial visit in October 2021.
