Geno Smith’s road to redemption has been a roller coaster ride up to this point. Currently, Smith is the Seattle Seahawks starting QB, and has spent the last couple seasons as a traveling backup. As of today, Smith has the Seahawks sitting neutral at 2-2. Fans and sport pundits speculated the team would tank to select standout college quarterbacks Bryce Young or CJ Stroud, after the team traded away franchise QB Russell Wilson to Denver. But from the looks of it, the new look Smith won’t allow Seattle to snag neither. Many remember Smith’s NFL career as a high-volume turnover…

The San Francisco 49ers lost 11-10 in their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Denver Broncos. Offensively, both teams looked lack luster, as the defense and special teams for both squads carried the night. The main headline Sunday night was the return of Jimmy Garoppolo. He got the start due to the season ending injury of quarterback Trey Lance. NFL fans haven’t seen Garoppolo start under center since losing in the NFC Championship last season against the Los Angeles Rams. The ninth-year signal did not look as sharp as he did last week when he came in for the injured…

Derrick Brown has been under a lot of scrutiny the last two years by Carolina fans. The constant criticism is not surprising, as he was the first pick in the Matt Rhule era back in the 2020 NFL Draft. As the seventh pick in 2020 fans were anticipating him to be the next great defensive tackle. Many thought he would be on the same level as other defensive tackles such as Aaron Donald, Cam Heyward and Grady Jarret. But Panther fans have to understand Brown isn’t those players, and that’s ok. In two and half seasons, he’s accumulated 85 tackles,…

College football has taken on the form of March Madness…well sort of. The bluebloods of college basketball are currently all undefeated in college football. Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, Syracuse, UCLA, Indiana and surprisingly Kansas are all 3-0 to start the year. There are 40 national championships between the seven historic basketball programs, but when it comes to football there is serious drop-off in terms of accolades. As of right now, Kentucky is the only team representing the basketball bluebloods in the Top 25, and there is possibility there will be more than one in the future. But can the rest…

Oregon has been on fire since getting their butts handed to them by the Georgia Bulldogs in week one. Last week they beat Eastern Washington 70-14, and this week they beat twelfth rank BYU 41-20. It was a convincing win by the Ducks at home, but in the process a couple students got a little bit out of pocket. There where a handful of Oregon students caught on video chanting “F*** the Mormons”. For ones who don’t know, BYU is a Mormon university and most of its students and staff are of the Mormon faith. The video has made its…

Trey Lance has had an interesting last couple days to say the least. His first game of the season he lost to the Chicago Bears in the middle of a monsoon, and now an alleged video of him was leaked making it rain on a couple of voluptuous dancers. The clip had social media in a frenzy once they saw the 22 year-old quarterback throwing ones in the air. https://twitter.com/GeorgeOnTap/status/1570814395638489089?s=20&t=1N0rpFNd0pHVH0vBAgENQw Many were champion the Niners quarterback extra curricular activities. Some compared it to former Niners starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo being spotted out with adult film star Kiara Mia back in…

In Sundays 26-24 loss against the Cleveland Browns the Carolina Panthers run defense allowed 217 rushing yards on 5.5 yards a carry. Nick Chubb accounted for 141 yards, with Kareem Hunt chipping in two touchdowns on the ground. Cleveland was able to run every different way versus the Panthers. It didn’t matter if it was between or outside the tackles the Browns were able to get positive yardage on almost every single down. One of the biggest issues was that from a size perspective the Panthers defensive line wasn’t even comparable to the Browns. Even former first round pick defensive…

2017 was the last time the Carolina Panthers had a positive record(11-5), as well as make the playoffs. Since then the team has gone through drastic changes after the firing of head coach Ron Rivera, and transitioned to Matt Rhule in 2020. Under Rhule the team has gone a measly 10-23.  From Panther fans perspective the team has not gone in the right direction.
