The San Francisco 49ers lost 11-10 in their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Denver Broncos.
Offensively, both teams looked lack luster, as the defense and special teams for both squads carried the night.
The main headline Sunday night was the return of Jimmy Garoppolo. He got the start due to the season ending injury of quarterback Trey Lance. NFL fans haven’t seen Garoppolo start under center since losing in the NFC Championship last season against the Los Angeles Rams.
The ninth-year signal did not look as sharp as he did last week when he came in for the injured Lance. He threw for a measly 211 yards, 1 touchdown and a late game interception with two minutes left in the 4th quarter.
Also, Garoppolo got a safety in the third quarter, which gave Seattle their fifth point of the game.

Jimmy G’s mess ups where costly Sunday night for San Francisco. But a bright spot for the Niners was oddly the smile across the face of Garoppolo when the clock hit zero.
While many Niner players where visibly upset after the hard-fought loss, Garoppolo was all smiles. Many took notice, which led to some to question the integrity of the quarterback.

One would speculate that smile is due to the pay day Garoppolo receives after he reworked his contract last offseason. When Garoppolo plays at least 25% of the snaps he gets $250k, and in wins the pay jumps to $350k.
Obviously Jimmy G is giving his all out there even on a restructured contract. But Niner fans are over of his post game smirks, as this seems to be a trend from the signal caller.

I think the frustration from Niner fans is more so cause the team scored 10 points rather than Garoppolo’s smile. But I promise you, Jimmy G’s post-game smile is the least of the teams worries.
