Antonio Brown is known for being very controversial, both on and off the field, and he added to his list of controversial actions by going after Taylor Swift on X Tuesday evening. In a viral post of Taylor Swift in the pressbox at a Chiefs game, the title says, “What are the first five words of the National Anthem?”
In an odd yet on-brand response, Antonio Brown responded with a wildly inappropriate reaction, saying, “Body like a Saltine cracker.”
It didn’t take long for the post to go viral and for thousands of NFL and Taylor Swift fans to make their voice heard on the post.
Swifties Go After Antonio Brown
Regardless of who the comments were directed at, the X post was inappropriate, but going after Taylor Swift opened the gates for ‘Swifties’ to go after Antonio Brown. Immediately following the tweet, hundreds of responses started to pour in, sending backlash to Antonio Brown and backing up the Pop singer and girlfriend of Super Bowl Champion Travis Kelce.

Fans of Taylor Swift are known for being some of the most passionate fans out there. Her most recent concert tour has seen NFL stadiums ultimately sell out, with tickets costing more than $1200 on average. NBC reported that the newest audience growth in their Peacock streaming was younger women and teenage girls during Kansas City Chiefs games.
Criticism Nothing New For Taylor Swift
Since dating Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift has faced plenty of criticism. Some have pointed out that she gets millions of dollars of free advertising and coverage during the games, while others say that the TV networks are focusing too much on the “Swiftie” audience.
During the Super Bowl, Swift received about $20 million in free advertising when comparing the running time she received versus the cost of running a TV ad during the Super Bowl.

Conclusion
Antonio Brown has some mental concerns that continue to need to be addressed. While it is tough to give a pass for comments that are said in person or on social media, and there needs to be some accountability factor, the fact remains everything AB says should be taken with a grain of salt.
