With National Signing Day approaching, there are still some major battles ensuing over recruits. Whether uncommitted or possibly looking elsewhere, there are several highly rated recruits who could change the landscape of college football moving forward.
Football Recruiting: Top 5 Uncommitted Recruits
OT Jordan Seaton (Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Colorado, Tennessee, Maryland, Oregon)
IMG Academy’s Offensive Tackle Jordan Seaton is the highest-ranked uncommitted recruit according to On3’s 2024 recruiting rankings. Listed at 6’5, 295 pounds, Seaton is ranked as the number 16 overall prospect in the On3 rankings. He most recently took a visit to Knoxville to visit the Vols and there seems to be some buzz there right now.
CB Kobe Black (LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M)
Out of Connelly High School in Waco, TX, CB Kobe Black is the number four ranked CB in the class of 2024 in the On3 recruiting rankings. His brother is currently playing for Oklahoma State, so the Cowboys are a factor. However, Texas seems to have the edge right now
WR Dre’lon Miller (LSU, Texas A&M, Texas, USC, Colorado)
Dre’lon Miller from Silsbee, TX recently decommitted from Texas A&M after head coach Jimbo Fisher was fired. He has not announced a new commitment date, but LSU has been gaining momentum. Miller may also be waiting out the Texas A&M coaching search before he makes his ultimate decision. He has also recently visited Colorado.
CB Zavier Mincey (Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Miami)
Zay Mincey is a bigger CB prospect at 6’3 out of Daytona Beach, FL. Currently ranked on On3 as the number six CB recruit in the country, Mincey has recently visited Miami, but Florida has the current buzz in his recruitment. Mincey will not be making a commitment until January 6 at the All-American Bowl.
WR Kam Mikell (Colorado, Kentucky, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Georgia)
Classified as an Athlete, Kam Mikell could play either DB or WR in college. Georgia has seen him as a Defensive Back, but has recently made a push after having discussions with him about playing Wide Receiver. Tennessee has been recruiting him as a WR since the beginning and this will likely come down to the wire.
Football Recruiting: Top 5 Flip Candidates
WR Cam Coleman (Texas A&M – Auburn)
There is growing speculation around WR Cam Coleman and his commitment status. Currently committed to Texas A&M, Coleman has been rumored to be looking elsewhere after the firing of Jimbo Fisher. Auburn seems to be the leader in his recruitment at the moment.
WR Gatlin Bair (Boise St – Oregon)
Gatlin Bair is currently committed to Boise State, but Oregon is making a major push for him leading into national signing day. Bair has world-class speed and elite positional size at 6’2 195 pounds. He is scheduled to go on a two-year mission, so he is still a couple of years away from landing on any campus.
OL DeAndre Carter (Auburn – Texas)
Recently reaffirming his commitment to Auburn, Carter will visit again during the Iron Bowl this weekend. Texas is not giving up, however. They are trying hard to get him to flip his commitment to the Longhorns.
DL Amaris Williams (Florida – Ohio State)
Ohio State’s main committed target is Florida pledge Amaris Williams. The lure to Ohio State cannot be understated in any recruitment. Florida should be extremely nervous about how this is playing out.
CB Cai Bates (LSU – Florida State)
Cai Bates has already decommitted from LSU and is likely headed to Florida State. Tennessee is also pushing to get him back on campus for another visit.
