Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck is looking to be the top quarterback taken in the 2025 NFL Draft class. With the 2024 draft aside, it is never too early to start talking about next season. Georgia will be in contention for a National Championship in college football after missing the playoffs a season ago.
The Bulldogs went back-to-back in 2021 and 2022. It is hard to three-peat and that is something they failed to do in 2023. As for Carson Beck, he completed 72.4% of his passes for 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns, and six interceptions a season ago for Georgia.
He can very well be one of the Heisman Trophy favorites for the next college football season. The last time that a Georgia Bulldogs quarterback went number one overall in an NFL Draft was Matthew Stafford in 2008 to the Detroit Lions.
Two of the other quarterbacks that can very well go in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft are Sheuder Sanders of the Colorado Buffaloes and Quinn Ewers of the Texas Longhorns. It will also be interesting to see which NFL teams won’t be good next season.
The New York Giants and the Las Vegas Raiders are Two Teams That Can Very Well Land Georgia Bulldogs Quarterback Carson Beck In the 2025 NFL Draft
Entering next season, it feels like the Giants and the Raiders are going to have to draft a quarterback after the 2024 season. New York tried to move on from Daniel Jones but they couldn’t. They can get out of his contract after this season. Jones doesn’t appear to be the long-term answer anyway and Drew Lock and Tommy DeVito are not it either.
As for the Raiders, they are trying to build the roster for this season and find their future signal caller in 2025. Las Vegas has Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell, but they both don’t feel like the long-term answer either.
Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck will be appearing in a lot of mock drafts to either the New York Giants or the Las Vegas Raiders for the next year unless things change during the 2024 NFL regular season. It is too premature to predict what is going to happen.
According to NFLdraftbuzz.com, some of the scouting reports on Beck’s strengths are as follows:
“Highly-tuned pocket mechanics: connects eyes, shoulders, and feet for fluid and consistent pass delivery under varying game situations. Generates elite torque, giving the ball zip and ensuring it arrives with velocity even on deeper throws. Displays a natural pocket presence; instinctively feels pressure, adjusts on the fly to craft clean throwing lanes.”
Some of his weaknesses are:
“Very inexperienced – has only a single year of starts under his belt. Inconsistencies in release mechanics; the tendency for unnecessary extra pump fakes – potentially hindering the speed of release in high-pressure scenarios.”
The good news is that Beck is going to have another season of starts and will then be a two-year starter for the Georgia Bulldogs. Carson Beck has a chance to be the number one overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft depending on how Georgia’s college football season plays out.
