The Washington Commanders are 2-1 this season after Jayden Daniels had a massive performance against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night. Washington won the game over Cincinnati 38-33. With the Bengals losing, they dropped to 0-3 on the year.

Daniels completed 21-of-23 (91.3%) passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 39 yards on 12 carries and one touchdown, along with averaging 3.3 yards per carry.
FS1 Colin Cowherd Thinks Washington Commanders Quarterback Jayden Daniels Is Better Than Chicago Bears Quarterback Caleb Williams

In the 2023 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers drafted Bryce Young with the number one overall pick from Alabama and the Houston Texans selected C.J. Stroud with the number two overall pick from Ohio State. Stroud won the Rookie of the Year a season ago and now Young has already been benched this season for Carolina.
In the 2024 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears selected quarterback Caleb Williams as the number one overall pick from USC and the Washington Commanders selected Jayden Daniels from LSU with the second overall pick. Colin Cowherd of The Herd on FS1 went onto his show on Wednesday and said about Daniels of the Commanders:
“Anybody else watch that game and think to themselves, do we have a C.J. Stroud thing going on? Where the number two QB pick is way better than the number one pick.”
This is interesting because it could be happening again. To start the season, Jayden Daniels has completed 80.3% of his passes for 664 yards and two touchdowns, along with zero interceptions. He also rushed for 171 yards on 38 carries and three touchdowns, along with averaging 4.5 yards per carry.
Daniels Performing Better Than Caleb Williams

Remember when the Chicago Bears fanbase mentioned that Caleb Williams was going to save this franchise? Well, Chicago is 1-2 this season and they are in last place in the NFC North. They moved off of Justin Fields this offseason and Fields is thriving with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Caleb Williams so far this season has completed 59.3% of his passes for 630 yards, two touchdowns, and four interceptions. He also has rushed for 67 yards rushing on 11 carries and zero touchdowns, along with averaging 6.1 yards per carry.
Jayden Daniels has performed well so far this season for the Washington Commanders. This conversation will be brought up again if he performs better than Caleb Williams of the Chicago Bears. Daniels will be competing with New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers and Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. for the Rookie of the Year this year in the NFL.
