While Zach Frazier has been great for the Pittsburgh Steelers, there’s no denying how impressive Jayden Daniels has performed as the Washington Commanders’ quarterback. As a result, he is now being seen as the top rookie for the 2024 NFL season.
Just recently, Daniels has made headlines as he was recently named the Offensive Rookie of the Month, highlighting his impressive start with the Commanders. The rookie quarterback has played a crucial role in leading the team to the top of the NFC East standings, boasting three consecutive victories, including two on the road.

Head coach Dan Quinn emphasized the importance of making Daniels comfortable from the moment he was drafted, incorporating familiar plays from his time at LSU. This strategy has proved effective, as Daniels continues to adapt and perform well under pressure.
As he prepares to host the Cleveland Browns, Daniels brings not only his skills but also a collection of accolades. If the quarterback manages to lead the Commanders to another win, expect a lot of fans and critics alike to heap more praises on him.
NFL Analysis Names Washington Commanders’ Jayden Daniels as Best Rookie In Class of 2024

Daniels’ performance has drawn a lot of positive reaction, mainly from analysts. In one particular NFL analysis by Brent Sobleski for Bleacher Report, the Commanders quarterback was named as the best rookie of his class.
In the last two weeks, the Commanders have been asking Daniels to do more. He’s clearly grown into a comfort level with the system and his teammates. All the while, he’s been the most accurate quarterback in the league’s history during any four-game stretch. His 82.1 completion percentage at the start of his career is better than Tom Brady or Peyton Manning accomplished even during MVP seasons, according to CBS Sports. [Insert eyeballs emoji]
As the Washington Post‘s Nicki Jhabvala noted, Daniels has led the Commanders on more scoring drives this season (23) than he’s throw incompletions (19).
Oh, this year’s second overall pick is also a dual-threat quarterback with 218 rushing yards and four touchdown scampers already under his belt.
Daniels isn’t just building an early NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year resume; he also has his team atop the NFC East standings and as an early postseason contender.
“The kid is special,” veteran tight end Zach Ertz told reporters.
His success can be attributed to a rigorous preparation routine and a strong rapport with offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. Kingsbury praised Daniels for his commitment, noting that even after a less-than-stellar first game, the rookie maintained his work ethic and determination. This attitude has allowed Daniels to achieve remarkable stats, including the highest completion percentage in the NFL, connecting on over 82% of his passes and committing only one turnover.

Kingsbury, drawing from his experience coaching Kyler Murray, has tailored the playbook to fit Daniels’ strengths, allowing him the freedom to explore plays that suit his style. Daniels appreciates Kingsbury’s approach, which fosters creativity and adaptability within the offense. As the season progresses, all eyes will be on Daniels to see if he can maintain this high level of performance and continue to reel in accolades.
