James Cook’s possible contract extension with the Buffalo Bills was recently discussed by the team’s general manager, Brandon Beane, who was quizzed on the matter by reporters. However, Beane did not exactly give out the details that reporters were actually looking for, but seemed positive about Cook’s contract.

It is true that Cook has been pretty open and vocal about wanting a big and juicy deal with the Buffalo Bills. However, the Bills have not come out with an offer for the running back who actually managed to churn out pretty positive numbers for the team in the previous football season.

“I’ll keep that between us as far as that’s going. But the relationship’s very good. I know Jimbo’s going to be ready to roll out when we get to Rochester. Our interactions with Jimbo (Cook) have been good the whole time throughout. I know he wasn’t there, so everyone just draws their own conclusions when you’re talking about its voluntary… Jimbo, he’s a pro, he’s a competitive dude. He loves to win. Of course, he wants to take care of himself. Everyone does, and we love to see that.” Brandon Beane said about James Cook’s contract extension according to an article by Bills’ reporter, Maddy Glab.

James Cook tried his best to get Buffalo’s attention on his side by not attending the team’s OTAs a few weeks back. At that time, it was cited that Cook will definitely be leaving the Buffalo Bills since he is dissatisfied. However, his actions were not taken seriously by the Bills. After that one hiccup, the running back has been seen at all the team’s training camps.

James Cook Eager To Show Performance For Bills In Upcoming Season

In the latest training minicamp for the Buffalo Bills, running back James Cook spoke to reporters about the reasons why chose to come back to training. Cook explained that he is after a member of the team, despite having contract issues with the franchise.

Cook seemed pretty eager to churn out results for the Buffalo Bills in the upcoming football season after contributing 16 touchdowns in the previous NFL season for the team with 207 carries. If the money that Cook is after with the Buffalo Bills comes through, he will be one of the highest paid running backs in the National Football League as of now. Some time ago, Cook listed his home in Buffalo for sale, which fanned the rumors of him leaving the team even more.
